How do I install QOTD in my Slack workspace?
Question Of The Day is an app for Slack that can be added to your workspace. If you are new to installing apps for Slack, follow the detailed step by step instructions outlined here. If you are a pro using others apps with Slack, you can use the steps below to get started!
1. Find the Question Of The Day app in the Slack app directory.
2. Allow the app to access your workspace.
3. Select the channel where you would like to install the QOTD app and add it.
4. See the QOTD app appear in your Apps section in Slack.
5. In the channel where you added QOTD, generate a new question by using the command /qotd and send it into your channel (you can always preview the question before sending it into your channel).
6. Use the shuffle feature to look through questions and once you've found your desired question, click to send it to your channel.
7. Use the command /qotd-team to add a team name as well as select the language you would like your question displayed in.
How does QOTD work?
Once you have installed the Question Of The Day app for Slack to your workspace and desired channel, you can immediately begin using the app by typing /qotd into the message field of your chosen the channel. Only you can see, review, and shuffle the question before sending it to the channel. Once you have clicked to send the question, anyone in that channel can see the question.

Are there rules around QOTD?
To quote from a famous improvisational comedy TV show ... "the show where everything's made up and the points don't matter." That's how we like to think about Question Of The Day! There is no "right" way to go about asking and answering questions. Some questions provide more structure than others however it is up to you and your team to decide if you want to have specific time, rules, or boundaries with any of your questions!

Great question ;) Our list of questions is constantly evolving and is a combination of a list we've built over the years, questions from friends and family, questions from the inter-webs, and AI.
Can I use QOTD with Microsoft Teams?
Currently Question Of The Day is only available to use with Slack.
